• Today’s DAR and the DAR Genealogy Records

    Betty Henry has been a genealogist for 35 years.  Currently she holds the posts of Appleton Chapter Regent as well as Organizing Secretary for the State of Wisconsin in the Daughters of the American Revolution organization.

    During this Find Your Ancestors program she will talk about the application process, levels of the organization, and the service work they do.  She will also discuss the holdings of the Daughters of the American Revolution library and how they are used to prove whether your ancestors served in the Revolutionary War.  

    Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 2:00-3:30 pm in Lower Level Meeting Room C.  

    Free and open to the public.  No registration required.

  • Library Building Process Update - 2/8/2018

    For the past several months, City of Appleton and Appleton Public Library staff have been working on a request for proposal (RFP) for a mixed-use development which would include a public library. Proposals have been evaluated and interviews with developers have been completed.

    There will be an informational presentation of the staff recommendation at a joint meeting of the City’s Finance Committee and the Library’s Building and Equipment Committee on Monday, February 26 in Council Chambers at 5:30 pm.
