Summer Library Program

During the summer months in June, July, and August, the Library's Summer Reading Programs occur. View information on them at www.apl.org/summer.

Parents: during registration you can create your account first and then link any child accounts as desired; that way you can toggle through everyone's accounts with just your login. This is even more convenient using the APL App.

B.E.A.R. Bingo

Be Excited About Reading!

Complete five activities across, vertically, or diagonally to get BINGO! You may read to yourself, read to someone else or listen to books. You may complete five BINGOs for up to five spins of the wheel. Five BINGOs also earns a chance at a final drawing. A blackout on the BINGO board earns a second chance in the drawing. One BINGO sheet per child. November 30 is the last day to pick up prizes.  Registration is required. 

 

This program is ideal for students in classroom settings. Exceptions for prize pickup after November 30 will be made for teachers who are picking up prizes for their students.

500 Books Before Middle School

Registration is required.
Registration Details: 

Register by filling out this form, or visiting Children's Services. If you register online, please print out a reading log.

  1. Sign up for the 500 Books Before Middle School Program one of three ways:
    • Register here
    • Call (920) 832-6187
    • Stop by the Children’s Services desk
  2. Read! Read! Read! Read the same book 50 times or read 50 different books.
  3. Color in a shape for every book that you read. Use the three lines on the page to write down your favorite titles.
  4. Once you’ve read/listened to 50 books and colored in an entire page, bring this log to the Children’s Services desk. You will receive a prize and repeat!
  5. Finished the program, but you aren’t in middle school yet? Do it again!
