Arielle
S. Age 7 "Spring" The
sound of birds. The sight of flowers, dancing in the breeze. The
sound of the leaves swaying on the trees. The sight of bugs On the
ground Some are long, Some are round. The sound of laughter in
the park. On the swing there’s a boy named Mark. I like spring! |

Danny
V Age 7 "Spring" The
sound of wind over head, crack a base ball whizzes by. Bicycles racing
down the street, jackets thrown in a heap. Swoosh the basketball flies
through the net. Spring is here! |

E. Age 8 "Spring" The
rain drip dropping on the new flowers. The hot sun shinning over
God’s beautiful earth. The leaves budding as green as new grass. The
ladybugs crawling up and down the slippery slide. Spring makes me
happy! |

Rakel
Z. Age 10 "The World’s Beauty" The
leafy green path The squealing of squirrels The breeze hits the trees
The heavens open And allow little bits of light to seep through The ringing
of the robin’s voice The singling of the old black crow By the path a
red rose blooms And take away all my glooms. Above my head I see quacking
black specs In a V-shape they fly The feeling of mud between my toes
The thought of the cold winter, far far ahead The sound of wild horses thumping
their hooves A nest of hay in a pine tree quietly it lays The sparkling
water The dazzling stars The peacock spreads its feathered tail To
the colors of orange, red, green and blue The feathers are beautiful The
world is too! |
Emma
R. Age 12 "The Beach" Walking
in the sand. Listening to the water The sun is setting
ad the water
is blue. There’s a boat docking ad there’s nothing to do.
Sitting
in the sand. Listening to the water. The sun is gone. |

X. Age 8 "Beach" A
beach is beach. A beach has water. A beach has seagulls. My beach.
A shell can be on a beach. A tree can be on a beach. A friend can be on
a beach. My beach. A sandy beach is good. A rocky beach is bad.
A beach is relaxing. My beach. |

Hannah
P. Age 10 "Spring" Spring
on earth is a wonderful time Spring comes with a soft bing, Where robins
sing. In the U.S. spring means blooming Flowers, not dooming snow,
And with sun glow on your face you Just have to smile Spring is here,
let’s shout with all our might. Not pout with the biting wind. Feel the
breeze on your face, And not peel old potatoes, but new ones. Smell the
sweet scent of flowers. Hum along with soft church bells That ring and
sing in harmony. For that is what a soldier dreams of at war When they
are far away from home. |
