Children's Programs

The Appleton Public Library is a welcoming place where the entire community comes together to celebrate culture and knowledge and to find others with whom to share their interests and enjoy unique learning experiences.

Children, from newborns through eighth grade, and their parents are welcome in the Children's Section.  Programs are designed for newborns through sixth grade.  The Children's staff offers storytimes for many ages.  Pre-school and school groups often come for group visits and special programs.

Storytimes are intended to help children learn basic concepts and motor skills, and to awaken a lifelong love of learning and books. Please follow the age requirements indicated for programs as these are based on developmental abilities. At least two families must be present for storytime. During storytime, please set a good example by participating in the activities and refraining from conversation. Please keep children away from and off of staff tools & equipment. Please do not share food with children that are not your own without the specific consent of their caregiver. It's okay to leave the room if you need a moment to calm a child down before returning back to storytime.

All Children's Programs are free (unless otherwise indicated).  Programs that require registration will be indicated as such immediately following the date and time(s) of the event. Programs are subject to change.
