Program details:
- This exciting new program offers children an opportunity to
read to certified therapy dogs.
- These furry friends will listen while children practice their
reading skills in a relaxed environment.
- The dogs; Aces, Beamish, and Dudley; are certified therapy dogs
and their handlers are carefully screened to provide a safe, fun
experience for children involved in the program.
- All volunteer dogs are certified through Therapy Dogs international
and must meet stringent temperament, obedience, and health requirements.
- Program will be held in the children's programming rooms.
- Advanced registration is required.
- Sponsored by the Fox Valley Humane Association and the Appleton
Public Library.
